Gilder and GliderPro were classics on the Mac, and we regretted its disappearance with the bankruptcy of C&G. Thank You, John Calhoun, for reviving it! Glider ist not a game, Glider is cult!

Ive been a longtime fan of the glider series from the original version that I played on my tiny black and white Mac Classic to the colour version published by Cassidy & Greene. This new iOS version takes the best of those classic games and melds them into the new version available here. The game play is easy to get into while the difficulty ramps up smoothly across the levels. The graphics are crisp, simple, and appealing. I do miss a few if the changes from the C&G version such as the elastics, paper shredder, the battery, and the oil. I cant wait for the release of the upcoming house editor. Get this game - its great casual fun.

I really like this class mac game that was brought to iOS!!! Thank you for the iPhone 5 support!! I think there should be a setting for the bar at the top with the carrier and the time, etc. so it can look more full screen. Thank you for what to do!!! P.S. If its possible to port Glider for OS X to intel, it would be amazing!!!

This is so great! Brings back memories from long ago. Simply the best glider game ever. The original has been captured on iOS. Simple to play but hard to master. Thanks for all your hard work Mr. C. Now a level editor would be awesome!

Flawless port by John to iOS. Im thrilled its the old graphics. Timeless fun! Highly recommended!

I wasted a lot of my childhood playing Glider Pro, and this really lives up to it! Its basically like having Glider, only you can take it with you! Best iOS game Ive found!

Its great to have this game back for those of us that enjoyed it many years ago and for a new generation to discover. Very much looking forward to seeing it back on OS X, hopefully with a new house editor! Thanks for all the hard work John!

Those of us who played this years ago appreciate this! More levels would be awesome. The custom levels we had for Glider Pro would be great right now!

I never did hear the punchline to that 2003 joke by John Gruber of Daring Fireball. But I give a tip of the hat to him for now alerting so many people that Glider Classic has been dusted off for the iPad and iPhone and is flying again! This game is truly a classic. The concept and play is so simple but to master it is challenging. But this game is kind. It gives you pauses to stop and think of your strategy for navigating the next challenge. And before you have gone too far you can usually back up and regroup your approach. And when you do crash you start close to where you were before. Nice, easy-going game that is as fresh and new today as it was back when.

I was waiting for a *long* time for this! One feature it could use, though, is a "continue" — when you lose, you can opt to continue, which zeroes your score and shows on the hi-score screen. Also, I really want to see a level editor! Ideally, one that can import Glider PRO houses without losing data. Still, this is a great game. Well worth it!

I remember playing glider pro for hours when I got my first Mac! This game brings back all those memories, great little application. Id love to see some of the old levels ported over, or some kind of level editor an sharing platform!

A charming, challenging and beautiful game. Lots of fun to play - I only wish there was a way I could buy more planes so I could continue exploring the house!

If you havent played Glider before, get ready for the BEST GAME OF ALL TIME! Okay, so maybe a little bit exaggerated....... actually, no..... BEST GAME OF ALL TIME! I remember when I was in about 4th grade and my next door neighbor showed me Glider 4.0 on a old Mac LC. Eventually, we started building our own houses in the editor and downloaded tons of houses off AOL.

Engaging gameplay, controls that are easy to master and forgiving, beautiful graphics... I can tell right now that Ill be spending hours and hours playing this!

I played this game on the old macs in my childhood, and this is a wonderful rendition! Great for the long subway rides, and can now listen to your own music or audiobook with it!

While this is fun, I miss the old days when you had to work to stay on the air vents and you were always moving.

If you were hoping for the real deal Mac OS original glider game, youll be disappointed like me. Clumsy controls, missing essential elements that made classic glider unique.

As a avid member of the Glider Pro community on AOL (around 95-96 ish) its hard to describe how exciting it is to see this game again. It looks terrific on the iPad. My one wish is for an option to go left and right with one hand on the iPad. The sides work great on iPhone.
